WhizFix 2.0 boasts a slim, minimalistic design that is no larger than a solid holder. This compact size makes it easier to secure firmly, resulting in finer details and extended tool life.
Our modular tool system also offers the same level of precision as a solid holder. The insert head consistently returns to the exact same position, ensuring reliable and repeatable accuracy with every use.
The unique dovetail interface between the holder and the head is exceptionally sturdy, providing the same stability as a solid holder. This robust connection ensures that your tools remain secure and perform optimally under various conditions.
User friendly tool changes in your automatic lathe
WhizFix 2.0 is engineered for smooth accessibility. With just 1,5 revolutions, you can swiftly clamp and unclamp the insert head. The innovative hinged design ensures the head remains securely attached to the shank, eliminating any risk of it falling out when loosened. Plus, the required torque of just 2,0 Nm makes tightening incredibly easy and efficient.
- User friendly: WhiFix 2.0 features an easy-access “click in/click out” system that requires only 1,5 revolutions to clamp and release. The dovetail design allows for straightforward cleaning and chip removal. Additionally, laser markings clearly indicate the open position and lock direction, ensuring precise and efficient operation.
- Exact position: The critical centerline is essential. The dovetail design aligns with the center of the tool, ensuring that the insert’s centerline is held with precision, within a few microns.
- One-hand-change: This design allows you to loosen all heads before removing them from the machine. Easily change the head with one hand without worrying about anything falling out. The head is securely hinged in the shank, even when released, eliminating the risk of it falling out.
- Finer details: WhizFix 2.0 is as compact as a solid holder, allowing for a secure fit with the insert tip positioned close to the tool holder plate. This design ensures finer details and significantly extends the lifespan of the tool.

Optimal pressure to the tool holder
By using a torque wrench set to the specified torque, you can apply the optimal pressure to the holder. This ensures the rigidity and precise positioning of both the insert and the holder, thereby extending their lifespan.
Each holder is clearly marked with its set torque value, with most holders recommending a torque of 2Nm. This precise application of torque safeguards the integrity and performance of your tooling system.

Changing inserts is now easier with WhizCut’s 3D-printed indexing handle, eliminating the need for an extra tool holder.
